Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) proudly participates in the Association of State Colleges and Universities – Solid North (ASCU-SN) Mid-Year Sports and Cultural Festival 2025, hosted by Benguet State University from July 15 to 18 in La Trinidad, Benguet.
University President Dr. Anita G. David graced the Opening Program held on July 15, which featured messages from key officials and education leaders, including CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, and CHED Commissioners Dr. Marita R. Canapi, Dr. Ethel Agnes P. Valenzuela, and Dr. Desiderio R. Apag III. The ceremonial opening was led by Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, President of Tarlac Agricultural University and ASCU-SN 2025 President.
With the theme “SIGED ASCU-SN: Celebrating Athleticism, Culture and Unity,” the festival gathers 27 state universities and colleges from Northern and Central Luzon to strengthen camaraderie and unity through diverse sports and cultural competitions.
This regional convergence of SUCs supports several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being, as it promotes physical activity, mental wellness, and a healthy lifestyle among students and educators. The event also exemplifies SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals, demonstrating the power of collaboration and solidarity among higher education institutions across the Solid North.
