Quality Obectives
To effectively acquire the vision to a safe working environment, emergency and disaster prepared university, Teams and components of the University Disaster Risk Management Unit are committed to meet the following specific targets:
As per RA.11058 of All safety and health personnel shall undergo the mandatory training on basic occupational safety and health for safety officers as prescribed by DOLE.
All workers are encouraged to undergo the mandatory 8-hours safety and health seminar as required by DOLE.
Adopt a disaster risk reduction and management approach that is holistic, comprehensive, integrated and proactive in lessening the impacts of disasters including climate change and also improve the involvement and participation of each and every member of PSAU community.
Continuous disaster and safety awareness campaign through seminars, training, and good housekeeping program (sanitation and disinfection) shall be implemented.
Installation of different equipment/implement addressing the Health Safety Protocols of the university.
Provision of equipment for emergency response team such as Personal Protective Equipment, Emergency Kits, search and rescue tools.
To obtain zero casualty rating within every workplace of the University.

Agriculture Students National Agriculture Quiz contest
Agriculture students won third place in the 6th National Agricultural Science Quiz Contest held last March 11, 2016 at the University of the Philippines Los Banos Laguna. The group was composed of Mr. Carl Angelo Taca, Ms. Crizel Villavicencio both BSA –Animal Science major students and Mr. Bryan Wagan BSA-Entrepreneur student. They outsmarted 11 teams representing the different agricultural colleges and university in the country. They were coached by Professor Lane M. Pineda, Prof. Emilie S. Gonzales, Prof. Carren C. Juico, and Prof. Janette B. Musni whose subjects like Soil Sciences, Crop Protection, Extension Education, Animal Science, Economics and Crop Science were all included in all test questions presented. The team went head to head in the clincher round with Mindanao State University who won second place while Cavite State University won first place and the general champion was the University of the Philippines Los Banos.

The Commission on Higher Education formally awards the Centers of Development (COD) and Centers of Excellence (COE) on May 17, 2016 at the HEDC Building, UP Diliman, Quezon City.
As per CHED Memorandum Order 38, s 2015, Pampanga State Agricultural University is designated as Centers of Development in the field of Agriculture, Biology and Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Honorio M. Soriano, the University President together with Dr. Jacqueline V. Bagunu, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Norman de Jesus, Dean of College of Agriculture Systems and Technology, Dr. Evelyn V. Totaan, Dean of College of Arts and Sciences, and Dr. Neil Tanquilut, Dean of College of Veterinary Medicine receive the plaques for the granting of the COD.
The COD grant is valid from effective from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2018 which gives the programs a privilege to avail financial assistance on a project proposal basis.
