On March 21, 2019, the delegates of Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU), headed by its president, Dr. Honorio M. Soriano, Jr., flew to Tan Trao University (TTrU) at Tuyen Quang Province, Vietnam for a four-day benchmarking activity. The team explored possible cooperation in the areas of instruction, research and extension. Through the efforts of Dr. Soriano, Dr. Jacqueline V. Bagunu (PSAU Senior Professor-Researcher), TTrU President Nguyen Ba Duc and Ms. Do Hai Yen (TTrU Director for Science Management and International Affairs), the two institutions agreed to collaborate to foster and develop cooperative relationship.
The five-year MOU states to carry out activities such as faculty and staff exchange program, graduate and undergraduate students exchange program, participation in seminars and academic meetings, joint research programs and publications, exchange of academic materials and other information, special short-term academic programs, and further collaborations for future and mutual benefits of both institutions.
The other members of the PSAU delegation were Dr. Evelyn V. Totaan (Professor II and BS/MS Biology Program Head), Mr. Michael Angelo C. Nicdao (Assistant Professor IV and Coordinator, Internal Quality Assurance and Audit), Dr. Glenn M. Calaguas (Professor VI and Dean, College of Education), Dr. Virgilio T. Bagunu (Professor V), Dr. Anthony C. Nicdao (Associate Professor II), Dr. Ma. Fe S. Bulao (Associate Professor V and Dean, College of Veterinary Medicine) and three Master of Science in Biology students (Sharmaine Villanueva, Geanlyn Ednalan and Abigail Geronimo).
