VP RET Corner

Greetings to all!

As Vice President of Research, Extension, and Training of the Pampanga State Agricultural University, I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity to serve our community in this capacity.
I want to take a moment to recognize the hard work and dedication of all university employees, who tirelessly work towards the common goal of improving the lives of Filipinos through delivery of quality education.

Our office is committed in delivering impact-driven research, extension, and training services that are relevant to the needs of present and future generations.

In pursuing our vision of excellence in technology transfers and advisory services to build self-reliant and globally competitive communities, we integrate and apply the agenda of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Agriculture, Department of Science and Technology, including other key government agencies, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into our work.

We aim to attain our mission in creating empowered communities through relevant and impact-driven research, extension, and training services for Food security, Climate Resiliency, and Poverty Alleviation.
This year, we have set institutional reforms to attract external funding, accelerate the development of research facilities, increase production of impact-driven data, innovative methods and technologies, publications and patents, leverage by establishing permanent items who will perform full-time research or extension and training.

To achieve these, we will nurture a culture of mentoring, exercise student-faculty or peer collaboration, and establish realistic and doable targets that can be attained by instituting “logical framework” in different Colleges.

We shall capitalize in proving the university’s proven track record in accountability and delivery of quality performance in order to secure financial support from national and foreign funding agencies.
Additionally, we are committed in maximizing the value of every centavo we spend by carefully evaluating our expenses and ensuring that they align with our objectives. Through this approach, we can deliver the products and services that meet or exceed the expectations of our stakeholders while making the most of our available resources.

By tapping into these institutional reforms, we can gain access to a broader range of expertise, knowledge, and support to help us accomplish our goals more efficiently and effectively.

Our success depends on the dedication and hard work of the entire university faculty, students, and personnel. I encourage all of us to work together, sharing our knowledge and expertise, to create a better future for all.

Let us be inspired by the impact we can make in the lives of our community towards achieving safe, secured, and sustainable future.

The Lord’s grace and favor be upon us all.
