
Pampanga State Agricultural University has been recognized as the 2023 (FOI) Champion under the State Universities and Colleges Category, during the FOI Awards at Hilton Manila Hotel, Pasay City, on November 21, Tuesday.
Vice President for Administration, Business, and Finance (ABF) Mina Lyn G. Alviz and Supervising Administrative Officer (SAO) Jessie H. Licup, representing PSAU, accepted the said award.
The Presidential Communications Office, through the Freedom of Information – Program Management Office (FOI-PMO), holds the FOI Awards annually to honor the efforts of government agencies across the Executive Branch, as well as institutional partners, individuals, and civil society organizations that significantly contributed to the development and success of the FOI Program implementation as well as those who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to transparency, accountability, and the pursuit of the principles of freedom of information.
The administration of Pampanga State Agricultural University is fully committed to the institutionalization of freedom of information in its four-fold functions as a State University, such as instruction, research, extension, and production.
All documents needed by employees, students, and other stakeholders shall comply with Executive Order No. 2 on Freedom of Information registered in the International Organization for Standardization or ISO 2015:9001 as one of the Records Office procedures on receiving and releasing information to ensure transparency in the access of information and official/public records, taking into consideration the right to privacy.
This achievement was made possible through the concerted efforts of the Administrative Services Division, headed by Director Joan C. Reyes, Records Officer Carolina L. Supan, and her staff.
In 2022, PSAU was also recognized as the FOI Champion under SUC Category.
