Last Wednesday, April 23, 2025, Pampanga State Agricultural University and Handong Global University, South Korea officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding to foster academic collaboration and global engagement. This partnership marks a significant step forward in advancing international cooperation in education, research, and sustainable development.
The agreement highlights collaborative efforts in key areas such as research and development (R&D) projects, extension and training programs anchored on R&D results, agro-ecotourism, food security, sustainable farming systems, introduction of modern technologies, physical and human resource sharing, staff training, student internship opportunities, and the exchange of scientific information and materials. Additional areas of cooperation will also be explored based on mutual interests.

Pampanga State Agricultural University was represented by Dr. Anita G. David (University President), Ms. Mina Lyn G. Alviz (Acting Vice President for Administration and Finance), and Mr. Carlo D. De Dios, Director for Public Affairs and International Linkages. Handong Global University was represented by its President, Dr. Dosoung Choi, along with Mr. Byung Cheol Kim, the Dean of Global Future Lifelong Education Center and Dr. Daeyeon Cho, HGU Professor Emeritus.

This partnership supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, reinforcing the shared mission of both institutions to empower communities and contribute to sustainable, inclusive development through international collaboration.
