The PSAU College of Education has initiated a comprehensive in-house licensure exam review program for the academic years 2022-2023 and 2023-2024. This initiative aims to enhance the preparedness of graduating students for the demanding licensure examinations essential for a career in education.
The program emerged in response to increasing concerns about the complexity of the licensure exams and the pressures on students to succeed. Recognizing the need for additional preparation beyond the standard curriculum, the College of Education, supported by the university, designed the review sessions to provide targeted exam preparation and expert instruction.
The Program Objectives include the enhancement of exam preparedness, identification and addressing knowledge gaps, fostering effective test-taking strategies, alignment with professional standards, providing expert guidance and support, and increasing success rates for the overall performance of the COED graduates in the licensure exam.
Spanning from March to June, the program includes a mix of lectures, workshops, mock exams, and individual consultations. Led by experienced faculty members, the sessions focus on the specific content areas tested in the licensure exams. To help the students assess their progress and refine their strategies, mock examinations are given before they graduate from the university.
By investing in this review program, PSAU ensures its College of Education graduates are well-prepared for the licensure exams, enhancing their professional futures and the institution’s reputation for academic excellence.
