In a vibrant celebration of Filipino language and culture, the Kalipunan ng mga Makabagong Tagapanday ng Wika (KaMakaTa), in partnership with the College of Education Student Council (CESC), marked the Buwan ng Wika with a series of engaging activities that highlighted the importance of the Filipino language in education, society, and nation-building.
The theme of this year’s celebration, “Filipino: Wikang Mapagpalaya,” the activities highlighted the role of language in liberating the mind, culture and identity of every Filipino. The event was held at the Bren Z. Guiao Multipurpose Center. Throughout the event, students showcased their creative talents through performances in Filipino, including Balagtasan, and Masining na Pagkukwento. One of the highlights was a Lakan at Lakambini ng Wika.

This year’s Buwan ng Wika celebration, brought to life through the efforts of KaMakaTa and the College of Education Student Council, was a powerful reminder of the enduring role of the Filipino language in shaping the nation’s future. By embracing “Filipino: Wikang Mapagpalaya,” the event inspired a new generation of students to carry the torch of linguistic and cultural pride forward into the future
