On May 5, 2025, PSAU, alongside relevant stakeholders across Central Luzon, joined the Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) held at Royce Hotel, Clark.

The said ceremony deliberated on the establishment of Central Luzon Agriculture and Fisheries Resources, Research and Extension for Development Network (CLAFRREDN) — marking another milestone in fostering sustainable development in agriculture and fishery.

PSAU, represented by Dr. Anita G. David (University President), Dr. Geraldine C. Sanchez (Vice President for Research, Innovation, Extension, and Training), and Dr. Amalia C. Briones (Director for Extension and Training), reaffirmed its commitment to enhance innovations that will underscore the significance of research, development, and extension services.

As such, this initiative supports the SDG 4: Quality Education by strengthening research and extension learning opportunities; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure by enhancing rural infrastructure growth through promoting R&D outputs; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by initiating collaboration among regional stakeholders.

The University also extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Junel B. Soriano (DA-BAR Director) and Dr. Eduardo L. Lapuz, Jr. (CLAFRREDN Chairperson) for their continued support and dedication to the success of this initiative.
