On June 19, 2024, PSAU had the honor of welcoming CHED Commissioner Dr. Ronald L. Adamat to the campus for the inauguration of the PSAU Peace Monument Marker.
Introduced by President Dr. Anita G. David, Dr. Adamat delivered a heartfelt speech at the ceremony. He emphasized the significance of peace and education, themes embodied by the unique monument created with the collaboration of Volunteer Individuals for Peace (VIP) and the PSAU family.
During his address, Dr. Adamat expressed his deep affection for the university, highlighting the monument as a symbol that captures the true essence of peace and education united.
Dr. Adamat’s distinguished career includes serving as a Congressman in the 10th Congress, acting, and holding the rank of Commodore of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary Executive Squadron in 2020. Notably, he was the first Filipino recipient of the Mahatma MK Gandhi Prize for Non-Violent Peace in the same year.


The Peace Monument Marker is located in front of the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS).
