PSAU stands out at DOST-PCAARRD’s TCMS! Congratulations to team PSAU for their achievement in completing the 6th TCMS at USM, Kabacan, Cotabato. Their exceptional market study on Tamarind Juice technology earns them a prestigious award.

The PSAU, through the Office of Innovation and its projects under the Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) Program in Central Luzon funded by the DOST-PCAARRD, attends the last modules and graduation ceremony of the 6th DOST-PCAARRD Technology Commercialization Mentorship Series (TCMS) in the University of Southern Mindanao (USM), Kabacan, Cotabato, this April 16-18, 2024.
The five-module masterclass that is aimed at providing essential knowledge, skills, and tools to transform innovative concepts into thriving commercial ventures marked a significant milestone as it resulted in the graduation of 102 RAISE Batch 2 implementers who came from various SUCs and RDIs across the seven (7) regions in the country.
The PSAU team is led by the Office of Innovation Director, Mr. Walter L. Pacunana, who is also the serving leader of Project 1. Regional Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IPTBM) in Central Luzon, and Project 3B. Enhancement of the Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubator in PSAU. Attending the event as the official TCMS participants for PSAU were Ms. Divine Reine S. Aquino, IPTBM Manager; Ms. Anne Gellie T. Dimabuyu, IP Unit Head; Ms. Chonnie Cholla R. David, TBI Manager; and Engr. Marijoree A. Sapigao, Asst. TBI Manager MSME focal.

Adding to the celebration, the PSAU team received a distinguished award for their exceptional market study on Tamarind Juice technology — one of the resulting outputs of the mentorship that they presented — further highlighting their expertise and gained knowledge from the TCMS mentors.
This TCMS graduation marks the second masterclass completed following the recent conclusion of the Intellectual Property Masterclass (IPMC) last January 2024. The RAISE Batch 2, spanning 7 regions and encompassing 39 SUCs nationwide, is made possible through the support of the DOST-PCAARRD, its Technology Transfer and Promotion Division (TTPD), and their partner training providers, specifically the Agri-Aqua Business Incubation Network of the Philippines Inc. (AABINPhil, Inc.) led by Dr. Ruth C. Diego for the TCMS.
