In partnership with the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency and the Peace Corps, Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) actively participated in a workshop aimed at strengthening the Philippine Volunteer Service Program (PVSP) last September 24-26, 2024 at Acacia Street Corner Archbishop Reyes Avenue, Cebu City.
The workshop sought to validate the proposed Philippine Volunteerism Agenda and Framework Plan (PVAFP), ensuring alignment with the diverse needs of communities across the nation. Additionally, it assessed the current state of the PVSP, identifying both strengths and areas for improvement.
Participants worked together to develop actionable recommendations that could enhance the program, allowing it to fully utilize volunteerism as a powerful strategy for sustainable development. Furthermore, the workshop explored existing initiatives across various sectors that supported the implementation of the PVSP, promoting collaboration among stakeholders. Overall, this initiative underscored a collective commitment to harnessing the potential of volunteerism to drive meaningful community engagement and development in the Philippines.
