Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) and the University of Karachi (UoK) are building on their existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in October 2023. On October 23, 2024, a significant meeting was held between PSAU College of Education and UoK Faculty of Education via Zoom to discuss potential collaborations.
The meeting was spearheaded by Dr. Nasir Salman, Dean of the Faculty of Education at UoK, and Dr. Elmer P. Calaguas, Dean of PSAU College of Education. Facilitated by Dr. Maria Crisella Dela Cruz-Mercado with support from Assoc. Prof. Eivan Mark S. Sigua, the discussion explored various collaboration opportunities. These included student mobility programs, faculty exchanges, curriculum alignment, research partnerships, and teaching special education and environmental education through distance learning.
Dr. Calaguas requested Dr. Salman to submit a detailed scheme of the proposed studies, with further meetings planned to finalize partnerships in 2025. Technology transfer through webinars and training sessions was also considered. The College of Education has received the study scheme for review by department heads and other stakeholders.
This initiative marks a significant step towards enhanced academic cooperation between the two institutions.
