Pampanga State Agricultural University formally opened its ISO-QMS 1st Surveillance Audit on September 8, 2025 at the Rafael Lazatin Audio-Visual Center.
The program began with opening remarks from Assoc. Prof. Dexter Andrew O. Manalo, Director for Institutional Quality Assurance, who underscored the role of quality assurance in fostering continuous improvement at the university. This was followed by the introduction of the auditor by Ms. Glenda Marie T. Maniago, Head of the Quality Management Systems Unit.
Dr. Catherine T. Sigua, serving as the external auditor, presented the rationale of the audit, emphasizing its goal of evaluating PSAU’s systems, processes, and compliance with quality standards. She also highlighted how the audit strengthens accountability, efficiency, and institutional effectiveness.
This opening marks the beginning of the audit proper, reaffirming PSAU’s dedication to transparency, excellence, and a culture of quality service. The initiative is closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
