On April 7, 2025, Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) conducted a crucial fire safety orientation and drill activity at the Bren Z. Guiao Memorial Multi-Purpose Center. The event aimed to enhance fire safety awareness among the university community, with the morning session for employees and the afternoon session for students. Led by Asso. Prof. Rogelio G. Isip, Director of both Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Unit and Security Unit, the session provided comprehensive training and equipped participants with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively to fire emergencies.

This activity aligns with SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, which focuses on making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. By promoting fire safety and disaster preparedness, PSAU is actively working to create a safer and more secure environment for its community. Furthermore, it reflects SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, as ensuring safety in emergency situations is crucial for maintaining the overall health and well-being of the university’s staff and students. Through this initiative, PSAU demonstrates its commitment to protecting its community and fostering a culture of safety and preparedness.
