The winning photo, titled “Ayta’s health and well-being… Crossing borders, Bridging the gap thru TKDL,” showcases PSAU’s commitment to preserving traditional knowledge and promoting health among Ayta communities in Pampanga.

Awarded during the DOST-PCHRD 43rd Anniversary Celebration on March 17, 2025, at the Sheraton Manila Hotel – Newport World Resorts, these recognitions underscore PSAU’s dedication to impactful research and community engagement.

Dedicated to all the TKDL team members and PSAU, Project Leader – Dr. Jacqueline V. Bagunu, and Co-Project Leaders – Dr. Evelyn V. Totaan, Nathaniel Supan, and Norman King.

This achievement aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by improving healthcare access and awareness among indigenous Ayta communities, SDG 4 (Quality Education) by documenting and preserving traditional knowledge to promote lifelong learning, and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by ensuring that indigenous health practices and traditions are recognized, valued, and integrated into broader healthcare and educational frameworks.
