Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU), in collaboration with the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA), proudly hosted the “Saup: Lending Hands, Uplifting Lives” Volunteerism Expo at SM City Telabastagan on December 14, 2024! 🤝

This inspiring event gathered passionate individuals, organizations, and state universities and colleges committed to making volunteerism a way of life. Among the esteemed participants were Empower Philippines, Vessels of Humanity Foundation, PSAU, City College of Angeles (CCA), Tarlac State University, Tarlac Agricultural University, City College of San Fernando Pampanga, Subic Clark Alliance for Development (SCAD), National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Peace Corps Philippines, and many others.

The expo, held in celebration of National Volunteers’ Month, emphasized the vital role volunteerism plays in fostering national development and encouraged all attendees to embrace the spirit of service. Volunteerism, as highlighted throughout the event, truly uplifts lives and strengthens communities.

We were honored to hear inspiring messages from key figures, including Arceli Macasieb, Director of the Community Extension Office at the City College of Angeles; Dr. Marianne P. Villaruel, Director of the Student Placement Office at Tarlac Agricultural University; Atty. Amee Z. Fabros, Executive Director of SCAD; Dr. Agnes M. Macaraeg, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Tarlac State University; and Nerissa T. Esguerra, Regional Director of NEDA Region 3. Your support for volunteerism is truly appreciated! 🙏

The event also featured powerful Volunteerism Stories shared by representatives from Vessels of Humanity, Empower Philippines, and Emmanuel Masaclao, NSTP Administrator of the City College of San Fernando. These stories of hope and service were a true testament to the impact volunteers can make in the lives of others.

Opening remarks were delivered by Carlo D. de Dios, Director of the Office of Public Affairs and International Linkages at PSAU, and the event concluded with a heartfelt closing message from Ms. Ela Victoria F. Sarmago, Deputy Executive Director of PNVSCA.
