2025Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) celebrated a decade of impact through its Research, Innovation, Extension, and Training (RIET) Forum 2025, held on May 6 at the Rafael Lazatin Audio Visual Center. The event brought together university leaders, faculty researchers, and international collaborators in a shared commitment to advancing sustainable and inclusive development.

Dr. Geraldine C. Sanchez (Vice President for Research Innovation Extension and Training) and Dr. Anita G. David (University President) opened the forum, which also marked the soft launch of the Journal of Science, Innovation and Technology (JSIT), led by Dr. Jasmin S. Villanueva, Editor-in-Chief. GAD research was also highlighted by Assoc. Prof. Marie Anne D. Valerio and Mr. Rodel R. Pentacostes.

Meanwhile, international perspectives were shared by Dr. Abdusakov Abduaziz of Tashkent State Agrarian University and Dr. Rachid El Hafid of the Catalyst+ Canada Program.

Additionally, faculty presenters, Mr. Gabriel B. Lorenzo, Ms. Claudelyn D. Dumagas, Dr. Amalia C. Briones, and Dr. Remedios D. San Jose, also showcased projects on occupational health, geospatial land use analysis, livelihood extension, and community veterinary services respectively. Dr. Rogelio P. Carandang Jr. and Assoc. Prof. Walter L. Pacunana were also present in this event.

These initiatives directly contribute to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) — aligning with PSAU’s mission of fostering innovation for a resilient future through collaboration and inclusive research.
